The Ultimate 2025 Gift Guide for GLP-1 Users

At least one in ten Americans uses a GLP-1 like Wegovy or Zepbound. That means there's a chance you'll need a gift guide for the GLP-1 user in your life. Not only does a gift that matches their lifestyle goals help you show support, but it also helps avoid some potentially awkward gift encounters.

I came up with the idea for this blog after Halloween, when a colleague came in and said, "I heard you like M&Ms. Here you go!" and dropped a pumpkin full of mini-bags on my desk. While I smiled, happy to know that someone thought of me, I also realized they had no idea that my insides were retching at the thought of sugary treats.

You see, I've been on Zepbound since January. In that time, I lost 150 pounds and reduced my blood pressure, kidney disease severity, and desire for junk food. While Halloween 2024 was all about M&Ms, this year I'm all about G&G — goals and good choices!

Whether the person you're shopping for is newly trying a GLP-1 lifestyle or has experienced substantial weight loss over a period of time, there's something on Santa's list for everyone!

gifts ideas for glp-1 users this holiday season

Protein Shakes & Bars Packs

Those using Ozempic, Wegovy, or Zepbound love protein shakes or protein bars. They help with minimal appetite while still giving us satiety in our hunger struggles. However, the cost of protein shakes by the bottle or the bucket can add up quickly. Individual protein bars can be up to $7 per item. Plus, this time of year, there are limited-edition flavors we can enjoy for months to come.

Shake flavors to consider:

Water Bottle

A good water bottle is one of the most useful gifts you can give someone on a GLP-1. These meds make hydration a bigger deal than most people realize. They slow digestion, which means the body needs extra water to keep things comfortable and prevent nausea, headaches, or that sluggish “why do I feel like a cactus” feeling. Most people aim for 64–80 ounces a day.

A quality bottle helps them track their intake, sip steadily through the day, and avoid the common “oops, I forgot to drink water” spiral. It’s practical but personal. It supports their health goals without feeling pushy. And honestly, it’s one of those gifts they’ll use every single day, which is more than we can say about most holiday presents.

Electrolytes

You'd think that by the time we paid the hefty pricetag on GLP-1s, we'd be immune to sticker shock. However, once we learned the importance of hydration, including electrolytes, we got a whole new rude awakening. Like most things in life, cheap electrolytes taste about as good as chalk.

Look for big-name brands like LMNT, Liquid IV, and Ultima. However, this might not be the time to wing it. Find out what brand your loved one prefers and stock up for them!

Big, Fluffy Blanket

While it seems like a low-hanging fruit of a gift to give this holiday season, people on GLP-1s get really cold, really quickly. Even where I live in South Texas, I still pile on 2-3 blankets each night. If you can score a wearable heated blanket, even better!

While you can go for something stylish or opt for a heated blanket or even find one that is super-sized, we're going to put this to use for months to come. Throwing in some extra warm socks or even hand warmers isn't a bad idea if you want to stuff the stocking even more!

Cookbooks for High-Protein Meals

By the time you get enough of an appetite to eat a real meal again, you're probably out of the habit of cooking. Plus, without processed foods and quick snacks, GLP-1 users find themselves repeating a lot of meals.

A GLP-1 cookbook helps us build better cooking habits to develop meal plans that minimize side effects and maximize results.

Gift Cards

Normally, I'm not a huge fan of gift cards. However, when someone is in the middle of a weight loss journey, buying clothing can be risky. Most people can't eyeball the size another person wears.

At the same time, GLP-1 users get stuck between their old clothes that don't fit and the need for new clothing that won't break the bank if they plan to lose more. A gift card to their favorite store lets them make the decision of what to buy and when.

To be honest, sometimes we don't even know what size we are. I recently bought three sizes of jeans online, hoping that one of them would fit. Even the smallest size was a little loose on me.

Beauty & Wellness Gifts

Weight loss can be great for someone’s health, but it doesn’t magically erase the aches that show up along the way. Back pain hits harder. New workouts leave muscles cranky. That’s why a spa day or a massage gift card lands perfectly. It gives them real relief and lets them decide what their body needs that day.

If they’re thinking about med spa treatments to tighten skin or smooth things out, a gift card can help without crossing any lines. You’re not hinting that something looks “off.” You’re simply giving them the freedom to choose if or when they want to invest in those changes. It’s supportive, practical, and a lot more thoughtful than another candle.

Shower Steamers & Scented Treats

We're dealing with a litany of side effects we'd rather not discuss over Christmas dinner (or any meal for that matter). However, behind the scenes, we're craving scents like ginger, peppermint, and eucalyptus to stave off everything from nausea to nocturnal insomnia.

Some ideas include:

Beyond the Gift Guide: The Best Thing You Can Give GLP-1 Users This Holiday Season

If you want to give someone on GLP-1s a gift they’ll actually appreciate, give them a breather. Skip the interrogation about their meds or weight, and don’t hit them with secondhand horror stories from your cousin’s neighbor’s chiropractor. Be the person who steps in when nosy relatives start oversharing. A little buffer goes a long way, and trust me, it’s way more valuable than another festive mug.
